With 4 distinct Seasons and and annual events planned throughout the year, Chelan has long been a destination location. Appealing to both tourist and families with second/vacation homes in the area. Increasingly, with the growth of the Wine and Wedding industry, more people are getting to enjoy the magic of this charming resort town and are opting to buy into their favorite getaway spot. An easy 3 hour drive from Seattle/Bellevue the Chelan market is thriving due to confidence in the continued health of the Westside real estate market and overall investment upside of this growing community.
In 2000 the first winery in the area opened on the North Shore. Lake Chelan Winery then expanded with a sister winery Wapato Point Cellars and then Benson Vineyards followed with their gorgeous Tuscan tasting room overlooking acres of vineyards and gleaming lake beyond. Since then, the area grown to nearly 30 wineries and tasting rooms, many just recently opening up shop in the neighboring town of Manson.
Both the South and North Shores of the Lake have experienced quite a bit of growth the newer communities of Clos Chevalle and Hawks Meadow, Hawk’s Ridge on the South Shore and Crystal View Estates and The Village on the North Shore. New construction dots both hillsides and there is still plenty of land for those looking for future retirement, second homes or vacation rentals.
